SSC MTS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

MTS has vacancies in two age groups. Check both age groups below:

  • 1.18 to 25 years old, or applicants for SSC MTS who were born before 2/1/98 but no later than 1/1/2005.
  • 2.18 to 27 years old, or applicants for SSC MTS who were born before 2/1/96 but no later than 1/1/2005.

SSC MTS Havaldar Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)


Applicants must be at least 18 years old and under 27 years old, or born before 02/01/1996 and no later than 01/01/2005, in order to be eligible to apply for the SSC MTS Havaldar positions in CBIC and CBN.

Candidates from reserved categories are given age relaxation in addition to the stipulated age requirement, per government rules.

Candidates must have passed the matriculation (10th Pass) exam or a test from a comparable level from an authorised board.

SSC MTS Recruitment 2023 Exam Pattern


The paper pattern for SSC MTS saw a change in the previous year’s session of the exam.

  1. The exam consists of two papers i.e. Paper I & Paper 2.
  2. Paper 2 is a paper-and-pen(offline) exam, while Paper 1 is conducted online.

  1. SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections.
  2.  There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II
  3. The duration of the SSC MTS Exam will be 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
  4. Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs out of which one will be correct.
  5. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1

SSC MTS 2023 Admit Card

The SSC MTS Admit Card will be available for download for those who are chosen for the SSC MTS Recruitment 2023. The SSC MTS Admit Card is available 10 days prior to the exam day. On the regional official websites, the admission card will, however, be made available per region. The release of the Paper-2 admit cards will come after the publication of the Paper-1 admit cards. SSC MTS 2023 Answer Key

The Commission will make the answer key available after the SSC MTS 2022 Exam has been successfully completed by all candidates. Examining the answer key will allow applicants to raise any objections. Candidates will be able to compare their responses with the official answer key issued by SSC with the use of the answer key.

SSC MTS 2023 Result

The SSC MTS Result will be made public after the publication of the SSC MTS Answer Key. The Results are made public in PDF Format. For the second paper, only candidates whose roll numbers are on the list will be contacted. The Commission publishes a Cut-off. The Commission’s cut-off will have to be met by the contenders.

SSC MTS 2023 Cut-Off

Once the examination is held and the results are released, the cut-off for SSC MTS 2023 will be released. In Paper-I, there will be distinct category- and State/UT-based cutoffs. The commission may establish a distinct cut-off for the two age groups (18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years) separately. The difficulty level of the SSC MTS 2022 Test as well as the number of candidates taking the exam will determine the cut-off.

SSC MTS 2023 Salary

A general central service group “C” non-gazetted, non-ministerial position falling within pay band 1 (Rs. 5200 – 20200) plus grade pay of Rs. 1800 is known as the SSC Multi-Tasking Staff. The SSC MTS salary ranges from Rs. 18000 to Rs. 22000.
